UN Reports on Japan by the OHCHR

Japan has ratified almost all international human rights treaties so far based on the principle of international harmony. Article 98 paragraph 2 of the Constitution requires the Japanese government to faithfully observe the treaties concluded by Japan and established laws of nations. The reality of Japan is, however, inconsistent with those international treaties, as the UN Treaty Bodies demonstrate in the following concluding observations. CEMiPoS urgently calls on the Japanese government to act in accordance with these concluding observations.
